What is an NPA?
A non-performing asset is collateral — land, a building, a vehicle or equipment — that a bank or financial institution has taken into its books after a loan stopped performing. The institution then seeks to sell that asset to recover value.
Who actually sells the asset?
The listing financial institution. Lao NPA Hub aggregates and presents listings, routes buyer inquiries and provides communication infrastructure. It is not the seller, agent of the buyer, valuer or escrow provider.
How buyers express interest
- Find an asset and open its listing page.
- Submit the inquiry form and receive an inquiry reference number.
- The institution's representative contacts you in your preferred language.
- Viewing, information exchange and offer discussion proceed with the institution.
- Contract, payment and transfer are executed under the institution's process.
Typical transaction flow
Inquiry → qualification → viewing → offer or auction participation → institution review → contract → payment and transfer. Timelines, deposits and documentation requirements are set by each institution and by the applicable sale method.
